Singer and songwriter ZXENA was born Thalia Rodriguez in the small Central California town of Clovis. At the age of 12, Zxena discovered her love for singing, and began vocal training for the following ten years with prominent vocal coach, Mindy Ramos and performing locally in the Central Valley. In 2018, Zxena was selected amongst the hundreds of applicants to attend The Neverland Retreats in Costa Rica, a week-long song-writing camp with music industry’s top mentors, including Adam McInnis (Sync Executive), Damon Sharpe (Grammy Award Winner songwriter/record producer), Lindy Robbins (Multi-platinum selling songwriter), Rick Barker (former manager of Taylor Swift). The following year, Zxena relocated to Los Angeles and began collaborating as both a songwriter and artist with record producer/songwriter Andrø Pop, a recent Latin Grammy winner. Currently working on her EP, Zxena’s music advocates for female empowerment and embraces her confidence in her sexuality and vulnerability in her lyrics. In additional to her own artist endeavors, Zxena continues to write for other vocalists, including two singles for Shuba (TikTokBrownChick) “I Bet” and “Gimme Gimme,” which have accumulated over 600,000 streams, and “Come on Thru” by Genelle’s which has 227k views on YouTube.
